This was a fascinating tour and I learned about the accuracy of standards setting. Things that I knew had to be, but did not know where, or how, they happened.
I also learned that the "triple points" of water, argon and mercury are very definite points that can be projected with infinite repeatability. It makes perfect sense now, but it wasn't something I had ever considered.
