HMS Bounty: A Terrible Sea Story
http://gcaptain.com/bounty-hearings-chief-mates-testifies/
Why did they go out into a storm?
Why weren't the pumps tested?
Why wasn't the crew trained to run the pumps?
Think of the safety implications in all of your actions.

ADTEC Program Courses Offered Summer 2013
If you are planning on taking the Anaerobic Digester Technology courses, this summer may be the last time that they are offered for a while.
These classes qualify as an elective for diesel technology and may be used to replace an internship quarter. So, you may take this class and 2 internships to qualify for the AAS degree.
If you have any interest in this at all I encourage you to do it this summer.
"We do have plans to run all four ADTEC courses again during Summer 2013." From the college administration...
I would also like to remind you all of the prerequisite of having all of your related instruction classes completed by the start of your second internship.

Plan Ahead: Thermal Imaging Presentation June 10
I would like to exceed the attendance expectations for this presentation in June (see below). I believe that thermal imaging will be a tool that you will likely use in the future at your work place. Please put this on your calendar and we'll talk about it in class when we meet in April. Come with questions please.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello Everyone,
Tony Shockey from Fluke will be on our campus on Monday
June 10, 2013 (this spring quarter) to present on infrared
thermography. This session will run from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Settlemyer
Hall, and will include live hands-on demonstrations of Fluke infrared imaging
cameras. Save this date on your calendars, and I will send a follow-up
email in spring quarter just as a reminder.
This is the estimated student head-count list I have from
each of you in response to my earlier inquiry:
Jeff Curtis (Diesel) = less than 10
likely, definitely less than 20 students
Jason Kefover (EMTECH) = 12 to 18
students
Dave Maricle (HVAC) = 12 to 15
students
Dave Jungkuntz (Maintenance) = 4
staffpersons
If your estimates happen to increase substantially from
these numbers, let me know in advance so we can be sure to have enough seats
set up. I’ve requested enough seats to cover the highest number plus some
extra. Feel free to bring recording devices with you if you would like to
video some of the demonstrations!
