Why wasn't the crew trained to run the pumps?

    Read it..sounds similar to every sinking that has ever happened..some negligence,some unsupervised work,a dash of stupidity,and pinch of bad luck,and you have yourself a preventable tragedy..sad,not very many old ladies like her left..
